Our COVID-19 Mission
Our goal is to never again see our home care partners struggle to find protective equipment.
In January of 2020, we noticed a disturbing trend.
Our suppliers – companies we’ve used for over twenty-five years – were becoming slow to ship critical items.
As news of the COVID-19 pandemic grew, the shipping delays became much longer. As we approached mid-March, the supply of respiratory equipment and PPE that we use and dispense every day became challenging to get.
With virtually every product that we use for infection control – and respiratory equipment – in short supply, we had to act.
Our team began sourcing PPE, disinfectants, and respiratory equipment from everywhere possible. These include the nation’s largest healthcare suppliers, direct manufacturers, and many smaller niche companies. Our aggressive purchasing allowed us access to many items that are now in short supply.
Over the past month, we’ve noticed an even more disturbing trend. Now, virtually all PPE items (gloves, gowns, masks, respirators and cleaners) are out of stock or allocated to hospitals only.
This shortage left virtually all home care companies along with sub-acute facilities scrambling for personal protective equipment.
We receive daily calls for assistance with sourcing PPE supplies. Most of these home care companies do not have access to the sources that we’ve developed over twenty-five years – or the time necessary to contact them each day.
When we find items around the country, and the globe, that could be useful to our home care partners like you, we are bringing them into our warehouse and posting them on this site.
Our buying team will continue to keep an eye out for items that both of us may need and bring them into our community.
